History

Camp Zimrat Yah celebrated its first year in 2009 as a camp for the Messianic youth of Canada and parts of North America. The first 3 years the camp was hosted at the Katepwa Lake Camp, just a short drive away from our current location at Echo Lake Bible Camp. The decision to change the location was made so that the camp could enjoy better facilities with the potential for room to grow. During those first years we saw 50 campers and staff descend on the Qu’Appelle valley. With steady increases year after year we have seen up to 100 members join us at camp. A large portion of our campers come from the Saskatchewan area, with strong contingents joining us from BC and Manitoba. We have also seen people come from Alberta, and Ontario along with those from the States (Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Nebraska and California).

Did you know?

Zimrat Yah means “Song of God.” A major passion of our camp is being able to worship! We encourage all
of our campers to bring their instruments. There will be opportunities to play during worship and learn from those who are passionate to serve the Lord.

Our Mission

“To offer a unique Messianic (Torah-positive, Hebraic) environment for young people to grow in their walk with Yeshua.”

Our heart’s desire is to have young people, the future leaders of our communities, turn their lives completely to God, recognizing His worth.

We seek to accomplish this, in a distinctly Torah-positive setting, by:

  • – Providing biblical teaching
  • – Facilitating authentic worship
  • – Nurturing dynamic friendships
  • – Giving opportunity for leadership

Our Statement of Faith

  • God is one and only. Deuteronomy 6:4
  • Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah and God in the flesh. John 1:1-14, Colossians 2:9
  • Salvation is only by grace through faith in Yeshua’s atoning death and resurrection. Ephesians 2:4-6, Acts 4:10-12
  • The Spirit of God indwells each person who accepts Salvation. Romans 8:9-11, 1 Corinthians 12:3
  • Man is sinful, we are unable to save ourselves. Romans 3:23, Romans 5:8
  • Satan is real and active in opposition to God and His Purposes. 1 Peter 5:6-1, Revelations 20:7-10.
  • The Bible is God’s Word (Genesis-Revelations). It is inspired, inerrant and infallible in its original languages. It is the only authoritative scripture for our lives. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Matthew 5:17-18
  • God is unchanging and His words are eternal. Isaiah 40:7-8 Malachi 3:6 Hebrews 13:8, Matthew 24:35
  • Yeshua came to live out the fullness of Torah(law), not abolish it. Matthew 5:17-18
  • Following the Torah is part of our discipleship to Yeshua. We keep the Torah because we are saved, not to attain salvation. (This includes the Sabbath, Biblical festivals and food laws). 1 John 2:3-6
  • The people of Israel are still God’s chosen people. Romans 11:1, Jeremiah 31:33-37
  • Believers in Messiah Yeshua are grafted into Israel. They do not replace Israel or become Jewish, but are full participants in the covenants of promise. Romans 11:11-21, Ephesians 2:11-22
  • Yeshua is returning to earth to reign. All nations will be subservient to His kingship. Revelations 19-20, Acts 1:11, Zachariah 14
